MyKofre supports collaboration between creators through Share In and Share Out features. This guide explains how to collaborate, set revenue splits, and manage collaborations.
What is Share In?
Share In means you are inviting other creators to collaborate on your product. When you share in, you're giving other creators a percentage of the revenue from that product.
Example: You create a track and invite a featured artist. You set their share to 30%. When the track sells, they receive 30% of the revenue, and you receive 70%.
What is Share Out?
Share Out means another creator has invited you to collaborate on their product. You receive a percentage of the revenue from products where you have Share Out.
Example: Another creator invites you to collaborate on their track with a 25% share. When that track sells, you receive 25% of the revenue automatically.
How to Invite Collaborators (Share In)
Navigate to your product in the SELL section
Click on "Collaborators" or "Manage Collaborators"
Search for the creator by username or email
Select the creator from search results
Set their revenue percentage (0-100%)
Confirm the collaboration
The collaborator will receive a notification and can accept or decline the collaboration.
How to Accept Collaborations (Share Out)
When another creator invites you to collaborate:
You'll receive a notification about the collaboration invitation
Review the product and your revenue percentage
Accept or decline the collaboration
If accepted, you'll start receiving your share of revenue from that product
Setting Revenue Splits
When inviting a collaborator, you set their revenue percentage. Important considerations:
Total shares: All collaborator shares plus your share should equal 100%
Platform fees: The 15% platform fee is calculated on the total sale price, then revenue is split according to percentages
Flexibility: You can adjust revenue splits by editing the collaboration
Editing Revenue Splits
You can edit revenue splits for existing collaborations:
Go to your product in the SELL section
Open the Collaborators modal
Find the collaborator you want to edit
Update their revenue percentage
Save changes
Note: Changes apply to future sales. Past sales are not affected.
Removing Collaborators
To remove a collaborator from your product:
Open the Collaborators modal for your product
Find the collaborator you want to remove
Click "Remove" or "Delete"
Confirm the removal
Important: Removing a collaborator stops future revenue sharing. They will not receive revenue from sales made after removal.
How Earnings are Computed and Distributed
Revenue distribution works as follows:
Sale occurs: A buyer purchases the product for the final price (base price + 15% fee)
Platform fee deducted: 15% of the base price goes to the platform
Remaining revenue split: The remaining 85% is split according to collaboration percentages
Distribution: Each collaborator receives their percentage of the remaining revenue
Example: Product sells for €11.50 (€10 base + €1.50 fee). Platform takes €1.50. Remaining €10 is split: Creator gets 70% (€7), Collaborator gets 30% (€3).
