How to Upload a Product

Uploading products to MyKofre is straightforward. This guide walks you through the complete upload process for all product types.

Getting Started

  1. Navigate to the SELL section in your account
  2. Click the "Upload Item" button
  3. The upload modal will open, ready for your product information

Step-by-Step Upload Process

1. Select Product Type

Choose the type of product you're uploading:

  • Audio: Music tracks, sound effects, podcasts
  • Video: Video content
  • PDF: Documents, ebooks, guides
  • Image: Digital images
  • PASS: Access-based products with optional visual media

The upload form will adapt based on your selection, showing relevant fields and file type requirements.

2. Upload Main File

Select and upload the main file for your product. Requirements vary by type:

  • Audio: MP3 (primary), WAV, FLAC. Max size: 20MB
  • Video: MP4 (H.264), WebM. Max size: 100MB
  • PDF: PDF format. Max size: 50MB
  • Image: PNG, JPEG, WebP. Max size: 10MB
  • PASS: GIF, PNG, JPEG, or short looping MP4 (optional visual media). Max size: 20MB

3. Add Cover Image

Upload a cover image for your product. This image:

  • Appears in product listings and your storefront
  • Helps buyers identify your product
  • Recommended size: 1200x1200 pixels
  • Supported formats: PNG, JPEG, WebP
  • Max size: 5MB

Note: For PASS products, the cover image is required if no visual media is provided.

4. Enter Product Metadata

Fill in the following information:

  • Title: The name of your product (required)
  • Artist Name: Your name or artist name (required)
  • Description: Optional description of your product
  • Tags: Comma-separated tags to help buyers find your product
  • Rarity: Common, Uncommon, or Rare
  • Quality: Green, Yellow, or Red (quality indicator)
  • ISRC: International Standard Recording Code (for audio products)

5. Set Pricing

Set your product price:

  • Base Price (EUR): Your price in euros
  • Final Price: Automatically calculated (Base Price + 15% platform fee)
  • Price (McCoin): Automatically set equal to base price, or set manually

You can set prices to zero for free products, or leave pricing empty to set it later.

6. Configure PASS Settings (PASS Products Only)

If you're uploading a PASS product, you can optionally configure:

  • Start Date: When the PASS becomes active (optional)
  • End Date: When the PASS expires (optional)

If dates are not set, the PASS will be active indefinitely. If both dates are set, the PASS will only be active during that time range.

7. Submit Your Product

Review all your product information, then click "Submit" or"Upload" to create your product listing. The upload process may take a few moments depending on file size.

  • Use high-quality files: Ensure your files meet quality standards for the best buyer experience
  • Optimize file sizes: Compress files when possible to reduce upload time while maintaining quality
  • Use descriptive titles: Clear, descriptive titles help buyers find and understand your products
  • Add relevant tags: Tags improve discoverability in search
  • Create compelling covers: Eye-catching cover images increase product visibility

After Upload

Once your product is uploaded:

  • It appears in your SELL dashboard
  • You can edit product details at any time
  • You can control product visibility (public/private, active/inactive)
  • Published products appear on your public storefront (KOFRES)
